The Big Play, the new musical from The Big Theatre and the Big Festival, returns to the Dublin stage with an all-star cast of Irish talent on August 19.
The festival’s artistic director, Sean McGreal, said the show will feature the biggest show in Dublin.
“We’re very excited to present the Big Show to audiences from across the globe,” he said.
“The show will be the biggest musical ever staged in Dublin at the Big Theatre.
The performance will showcase the best of contemporary dance, theatre, film and film-making, and will bring the city together and be an unforgettable experience.”

– Sean McGregan, The Big Centre for the Arts director, Theatre of Ireland festival The Big Night, which will take place at The Big Festival from August 19-21, is a celebration of music, theatre and film.
It will be staged at the National Theatre in Dublin, the National Cinema in Dublin and the National Music Festival in Dublin from August 18.
“With the theme The Big show, we are thrilled to showcase Irish talent at the Festival,” said Ms McGregany.
“This is a festival we all like to see in the future.
We’re proud of our team, they’ve got a lot of talent and they’ve been working together to deliver an amazing show.”
The Big Dance and the Great Irish Show, which take place August 19, will be at the Opera House in Dublin with the performance of music from the Irish music scene, the Big Irish Show from August 20.
A number of Irish music stars will perform, including DJ Jonny Mullen, guitarist Liam Gallagher, vocalist Michelle Keegan, keyboardist Sean O’Connor and singer/songwriter Dara Ó Briain.
“I’m so excited to be back at The Opera House for The Big Dancing Show, and I’m thrilled to see The Great Irish show,” said Dara.
